Save-A-Lot's Baby Section

So the other day I received an email about Save-a-lot's baby section and decided I would go check it out.

Here's what I found out:

1- They sell Luvs diapers for the same price as Target. Jumbos are $7.99.
2- Beechnut baby food is 5 jars for $2. That's a great price, but the selection isn't that great.
3- Tickles diapers are the same as Kmarts Little ones and almost the same as Shoppers Food Warehouse Baby Basics diapers, but they are $6.99 regular price, so no need to wait for a sale.
4- Right now Save-a-lot is having a deal where you get $5 off your purchase when you buy 3 jumbo packs of Luvs diapers and two Beechnut Baby food items.
5- They accept manufacturers coupons too.

My favorite Store for Baby Savings is BJ's

I think everyone who has a baby or a child in diapers should think about joining a club. If you already clip coupons, then BJ'S is the one for you. They are the only one that I know of that accepts coupons, plus they mail you out their own and they're really good ones usually a few dollars off products.

BJ's has formula at a savings... any brand and their own.
Diapers- their own (I wouldn't recommend them), Pampers boxes for $39.99 before any coupons (this month their is a $3 off on Pampers Baby Dry coupon in the BJ's coupon book), Luvs boxes are $29.99 (and there is frequently a $5 off coupon- you get 204 in Size 3... now that's a great price)
Baby Food in boxes with a variety of flavors depending on the stage.

And a whole lot more. Check it out sometime.

My favorite item that BJ's carries is the Pampers Cruisers with Ultra Absorbency. I buy a box of them and they last me 4 months because I only use 1 a day for nighttime with my 28 month old son. They work so much better than Huggies Overnights that it is amazing. Now thanks to Pampers and BJ's I always have a dry bed when I wake up my kiddo.

I almost always buy Beech-nut baby food and for good reasons...

A. My baby seems to really like them better than Gerber.
B. They are always a little cheaper than Gerber. With Gerber you get 2 "jars" for at the cheapest $1. I get 2 jars of Beechnut for $0.46 cents each or $0.44 cents each depending on whether I buy stage 1 or stage 2. So that right there is a savings of atleast 8-12 cents per 2 jars. Now I go through about 2-3 jars a day right now, so it adds up. Plus I almost always have a coupon for Beechnut baby food and it's usually for $1 off 10 jars, so that's 10 cents off each jar.

Over the weekend I found some great deals at Old Navy on Pajamma's. They had tons of them that were long sleeved with long pants for $3.99. You've got to go see what you can find. There might have been other deals there too, but I was on a search only for PJ's for my 6-12 month old who only had two pairs before I found pairs for $3.99. The same PJ's are for sale online for $9.99 on OldNavy.com.

Free Batteries at Target or Walmart and maybe other stores too!

So last night I was searching the internet when I came accross this great coupon which states "Save $1 when you purchase any AA/AAA-4, C/D-2, 9V-1 or larger Rayovac Alkaline battery pack or any Rayovak Hearing Aid battery pack." The coupon is an internet printable one, which is my favorite, you know the kind where you can print as many copies as you want. Well, at Target these small packs of batteries are $1 in the dollar section, which is usually located at the front of the Target store. Walmart has them for between $0.94 and $1.00 depending on what store you are at. This coupon expires 2/28/09, so you have time to use it.
